Abstract

This tutorial will outline the perioperative management of patients undergoing elective craniotomy for brain tumour resection. It describes key factors of relevance in preoperative risk assessment and the intended benefits of specific aspects of intraoperative management and monitoring. Complications associated with elective craniotomy are also discussed.
