Anaesthesiology in Health Emergencies: Essential Emergency and Critical Care
Anaesthesiologists play a vital role in managing critically ill patients during health emergencies. Essential Emergency and Critical Care (EECC) represents a core set of interventions that can be delivered to all critically ill patients, regardless of resources. As global efforts to strengthen health systems grow, EECC remains central to providing life-saving care in emergencies.
Healthcare Emergencies is the WFSA’s 2025 annual theme, and this webinar marks the start of a dedicated series. This webinar provided an overview of EECC, its implementation across different settings, and its specific importance to anaesthesiologists.
