INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES:
1. Participants will be able to understand the types, advantages and current guideline recommendations for the perioperative use of lyophilised factor concentrates over conventional plasma products in clinical practice.
2. Participants will be able to identify different plasma types, summarize plasma product composition, and evaluate both the adverse effects and overall benefits of plasma transfusion in perioperative care.
3. This session will raise awareness about the risks of inadequately managed perioperative bleeding, encouraging the adoption of evidence-based haemostasis practices to improve patient outcomes.
